Chief Financial Officer

As CFO you will be responsible for the corporate finance, investor relations and the financial development of the Group and jointly with the CEO and Board develop and execute the company’s strategy, business plans and represent the company on the Oslo Stock Exchange (OSE).
 
We are looking for candidates who are a proven leader and are strategically oriented.
You have a track record in managing accounting and finance teams and have a thorough knowledge of accounting principles, standards, control and procedures.
 
The right candidate has a minimum of three years’ relevant experience in a senior financial management and corporate finance role, understands the different cycles, the opportunities it can create and the risks that it involves. You have a relevant Master Degree with a thorough understanding of business and finance, you are opportunity-minded and lack no imagination. You are a team leader, used to timely deliver results. You like to take business to the next level while managing the limitations companies have from time to time.

(Offshore) Equipment Technician

As an (Offshore) Equipment Technician you will carry out maintenance and operational tasks on Company equipment as instructed by the Operations Manager and as required by the Company and/or manufacturers, procedures and manuals. You work from Oceanteam Solutions’ equipment base in Velsen Noord, The Netherlands and occasionally travel globally as and when required to work on our clients’ (offshore) cable handling projects and/or supervise the mobilisation and demobilisation of the Company’s equipment.

Your general responsibilities will be:

  • Install, maintain, repair, rebuild, and troubleshoot industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical/hydraulic equipment and provide technical assistance to other team members.
  • Install, modify, move, troubleshoot, repair, and dismantle heavy machinery and equipment according to documentation, layout plans, blueprints, or other drawings.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose difficult, infrequent problems with the equipment.
  • Rebuild complex components such as gear drives, pumps, and hydraulic valves.
  • Evaluate and recommend equipment improvements for reliability, capability, and yield.
  • Read prints, diagrams, schematics, and service manuals to determine work procedures.
  • Perform equipment failure analyses.
  • Prepare technical reports to document modifications and maintenance procedures.
  • Installs new equipment within in precise limits or standards of accuracy.
  • Capable of rigging heavy, large complex parts.
  • Perform operational tests on newly installed, modified, repaired, and moved machinery and equipment to ensure that it meets technical specifications.
  • Fit bearings and align gears, shafts, motors, couplings, and belts to precise tolerances.
  • Fabricate metal parts for prototype equipment based on drawings.
  • Follow all safety rules and practices.
  • May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 
Your responsibilities onsite will be:
 
  • Coordinate site supervision of (offshore) cable handling projects, i.e. mobilisation and demobilisation of Company’s equipment, transpooling of cables and/or operating Company’s equipment.
  • Responsible for the supervision of all mechanical maintenance activities onsite.
  • Act a focal point for external parties: must have good verbal and written communication skills to interface and communicate with the client, internal and external departments, agencies, contractors and vendors.
  • Carryout daily checks on Company’s equipment and technical team to ensure compliance with prescribed contractual specifications.
  • Good knowledge in reading and understanding equipment layout drawings.
  • Works closely with client’s supervisors.
  • Report to Operations Manager on main issues, events at site, progress reporting, trends and recommendation for improvement.
  • Liaise with the HSE Supervisor on safety related matters.  

We are looking for candidates who are driven, and possess a can-do attitude. You have a hands-on approach and enjoy “doing the work”. You have the ability to remotely supervise multiple personnel and work scopes efficiently and effectively and to work abroad for long periods.

You need to have an up to date knowledge of administrative and technical reports, demonstrate competency in the diagnosis, repair and service of equipment and be able to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.

You will be based in Velsen Noord, The Netherlands. The right candidate has a minimum of three years’ experience as a mechanic within the offshore equipment industry. You need to be in possession of a basic health and safety knowledge (VCA Basic as a minimum) and a fork lift certificate.

Senior Accountant Amsterdam

We are looking for a solid Senior Accountant to work closely with the Group Controller and finance team.

As Senior Accountant you will ensure that the accounts for the group and for all the legal units in the group are always current and to ensure that internal financial systems are up to date for the internal and external reporting cycle.

Your general responsibilities will be:

  • Support group functions such as the time sheet application and inter-company accounts together with Finance Norway.
  • Support the managing and controlling of the various business units.
  • Support management with financial analysis, models, forecasts and budgets and make sure it is up to date at all time.
  • Overall support of financial controlling, monitoring, process flows, internal controls and audits together with Oceanteam management.
  • Assist in preparing the monthly forecast for finance managers, including updates and import to the accounting system Navision.
  • Assist in the tender process (prepare and model financial scenarios for tender models and company budgets) for marine assets.
  • Assist the Group Controller with input to the tax planning and accounting for non-Norwegian entities and make sure they are tax / fiscal compliant.
  • Assist the Group Controller by keeping the Orange Book up-to-date regarding the fixed assets register.
  • Contribute to the analysis of budgets and OPEX for the business units.
  • Contribute to the reconciliation / control balance and P&L of all companies and group level after closing by Group Controller.
  • Assist in the implementation and development of the group accounts / financial structure.
  • Ensure that the financial internal controls are followed and continued to develop the group's financial internal controls.
