Solutions successfully completes mobilization of cable lay spread
Oceanteam Solutions has mobilized a 2000t turntable lay spread on the client’s cable lay barge which already had an Oceanteam Solutions’ 4000t turntable lay spread mounted on deck. The enlarged cable lay spread is now ready for client’s installation works which will take up to October this year, with optional extensions to the hire period. The mobilization is part of a larger contract for the supply of additional equipment and engineering services.
The inner cores of both turntables have been increased by our technicians in order to meet client’s cable specifications and the CE certification of both turntables and tensioners have been completed successfully, confirming our compliance with health, safety, and environmental protection standards. All Oceanteam’s turntable designs are Tüv certified as a standard, the company also holds the ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certificates.
In 2015, Oceanteam Solutions supplied to this client under a previous contract a lay spread consisting of a 4000t demountable turntable and loading tower with a built-in tensioner. This equipment has shown excellent operational functionality on a two-year cable installation project. On basis of this prior project, Oceanteam Solutions was requested by the client for the provision of additional equipment and services.
